Alex Farias was originally trained in the camera department on narrative film sets but has deepened her filmmaking practice through screenwriting, film editing, still photography and creating visuals for musicians. As a filmmaker she is most interested in the never ending study of light, texture, color, and sound. As a storyteller and writer she gravitates towards taboo, unusual, and underrepresented themes in character driven stories.
